It’s finally here. I know a few of you have been confused with the charts on our last 31 Days of Knitting Series because I had completely forgotten to get the master key up! This time, I’m prepared. We have a new 31 Days of Knitting Series starting August 1st, and I wanted to make sure to have the charts and keys ready before we started.
It’s Day 31 of our 31 Days of Knitting Series! Can you believe it’s the last day in the series? It was a TON of work to come up with 31 videos, but I think it was really fun, and we will definitely be doing another series later this year. So, if you have a stitch that you’ve been dying to learn how to do on the loom, but just can’t figure it out yourself, leave a comment be with the name of the stitch and we will try to squeeze it in our next series! Oh, and todays stitch is called the Smocking Stitch.
Today is Day 30 of our 31 Days of Knitting Challenge. One day left! Today’s stitch is called the Interlocking Cross Stitch. I’m currently working on a blanket that uses this same stitch and I love the way it looks in a long panel. [Read more…]
Today is Day 29 of our 31 Days of Knitting Challenge. Only 2 more stitches left in our 31 day challenge. Are you excited to see the last few stitches? I’m excited to get to take a bit of a break from knitting! It feels like I’ve been knitting for a year! Todays stitch is called the Leaf Panel Stitch, and it looks like beautiful leaves coming out of the center of the panel! So pretty! [Read more…]
It’s Day 28 of our 31 Days of Knitting Challenge and today’s stitch is called the King Charles Brocade Diamond Stitch. It is absolutely nothing like the King Charles Brocade Stitch we did at the beginning of this series – so I have no idea why their names are the same. This is really more of the exact opposite of the Embossed Diamond Stitch. It’s a really quick stitch to knit and adds a lot of texture to your project!
Today is Day 27 of our 31 Days of Knitting Challenge. This stitch is called the Open Ring Cable Stitch, and it’s a little bit of a twist on the regular running cable stitch. [Read more…]
Today is Day 26 of our 31 Days of Knitting Challenge. Todays stitch is called the Reverse Chevron Stitch, and like yesterdays stitch, it looks gorgeous on the right and wrong sides! [Read more…]
It’s Day 25 of our 31 Days of Loom Knitting Challenge. Todays stitch is called the Woven Herringbone Stitch and it’s a stitch that looks beautiful on both the right side and wrong side. This makes it perfect for things like scarves or reversible hats!
Today is Day 24 of our 31 Days of Knitting Challenge. This stitch is a very easy stitch to add a little texture to your project. It’s called the vertical zig zag stitch and it’s done by alternating knit and purl stitches in a zig zag pattern! [Read more…]
It’s Day 23 of our 31 Days of Knitting Stitchionary Series and today we are demonstrating the the Woven Basket Stitch. This stitch was not originally on my list for the 31 days of knitting challenge, but a Vintage Storehouse reader reached out to me about half way though the series asking about this stitch. She was really excited to figure out how to do the stitch, but was having a difficult time figuring out how to create the stitch on the loom. After looking at the stitch and the multiple ways of doing the stitch with needles, I felt pretty confident that I could figure it out on the loom and do a video tutorial for her, so I moved a few things around and to squeeze this little sucker in to this months series!
