Hi ya’ll. I didn’t get a chance to put any new posts online last week because I was out of town in the beautiful state of California! We got to stay in the gorgeous city of Mission Beach, which was a blast, but my favorite part of the entire trip was getting a chance to go up to La Jolla’s WindanSea Beach to take photos of the rocks and waves at sunset.
At Sunset there is some type of algae or something on the sides of the rocks that looks like it’s ging lime green. I actually would have missed it if my dad hadn’t pointed it out because it’s only on the side that faces the sun and I was originally behind it. I promise this photo was not photoshopped to increase the color of the green. It really did look like that.
It’s a beautiful place to get sunset photos! I wish there had been clouds in the sky, but there was not a single cloud the entire time we were in Mission Beach!
I actually went back a second day to take photos of the rocks with a tripod and a long exposure time. It’s crazy how different it makes the photos look. In the hour that we were at WindanSea beach the tide would change the scene so drastically. It was really interesting when you first get there, the tide is fairly and you can walk in-between most of the rocks without getting too wet. By the time the sun goes down, the tide had come in so high that one of the rock formations we were collecting sea glass on was completely underwater.
