Day 26: How to Knit the Lace & Seed Stitch {31 Days of Knitting Series}

This stitch is a bit of a spin off of the Eyelet Chevron Stitch we did earlier in this series but instead of knitting the stitches in between the lace, we did a moss stitch!

MATERIALS USED IN THIS VIDEO:

Knitting Loom: Regular Gauge Kiss Loom {with 1 spacer in between the pins & the pegs} – We are working with just one side of the regular gauge modular loom.

Knitting Tools: We are using the knitting tool that comes with the kiss looms, but the tool that comes with your loom usually works best!

Ball of Yarn: We are using Manos Maxima 100% Merino Wool in the color “Weathered Frame”

WRITTEN INSTRUCTIONS & CHART:

  • Cast On: In Multiples of 8 + 1
  • Row 1: K1, *P1, K1; Repeat from * to end of row.
  • Row 2: P1, *K1, P1; Repeat from * to end of row.
  • Rows 3-8: Repeat rows 1 and 2.
  • Row 9: K1, *YO, SSK, K3, K2Tog, YO, K1; Repeat from * to end of row.
  • Row 10: Knit
  • Row 11: *K2, YO, SSK, K1, K2Tog, YO, K1; Repeat from * to last stitch, K1
  • Row 12: Knit
  • Row 13: *K3, YO, Sl 1, K2Tog, PSSO, YO, K2; Repeat from * to last stitch, K1
  • Row 14: Knit

Repeat Rows 1-14 until you’ve reached your desired length.
