Day 24: How to Knit the Eyelet Lattice Insertion {31 Days of Knitting Series}

Today’s stitch has probably the most random name I’ve come across yet. It kind of makes sense… kind of? I get the Eyelet Lattice part, but insertion? Who knows!? I do think this stitch is really cute and would look great on the sides of a sweater or running up the back of one.

HOW TO KNIT THE EYELET LATTICE INSERTION {FOR THE LOOM}

MATERIALS USED IN THIS VIDEO:

Knitting Loom: Regular Gauge Kiss Loom {with 1 spacer in between the pins & the pegs} – We are working with just one side of the regular gauge modular loom.

Knitting Tools: We are using the knitting tool that comes with the kiss looms, but the tool that comes with your loom usually works best!

Ball of Yarn: We are using Manos Maxima 100% Merino Wool in the color “Fern”

WRITTEN INSTRUCTIONS & CHART:

  • Cast On: Worked over 8 stitches on a background of Stockinette Stitch
  • Row 1: K1, [K2Tog, YO] 3 times, K1
  • Row 2: Knit
  • Row 3: K2 {K2Tog, YO] twice, K2
  • Row 4: Knit

Repeat Rows 1-4 until you’ve reached your desired length.
