It’s Day 25 of our 31 Days of Loom Knitting Challenge. Todays stitch is called the Woven Herringbone Stitch and it’s a stitch that looks beautiful on both the right side and wrong side. This makes it perfect for things like scarves or reversible hats!

HOW TO KNIT THE WOVEN HERRINGBONE STITCH {FOR THE LOOM}

MATERIALS USED IN THE VIDEO:

Knitting Loom: Regular Gauge Kiss Loom {with 1 r in between the pins & the pegs} – We are working with just one side of the regular gauge modular loom.

Knitting Tools: We are using the knitting tool that comes with the kiss looms, but the tool that comes with your loom usually works best!

Ball of Yarn: We are using Tosh Chunky 100% Merino Wool by Madeline Tosh in the color “Posy”

  • Cast on in Multiples of 4.
  • Row 1: K3, *Sl 2 wyif, K2; Repeat from * to last stitch, K1
  • Row 2: K2, *Sl 2 wyif, K2; Repeat from * to last 2 stitches, K2
  • Row 3: K1, Sl 2 wyif, *K2, Sl 2 wyif; Repeat from * to last stitch, K1
  • Row 4: K4, *Sl 2 wyif, K2; Repeat from * to end of row.
  • Row 5: Repeat Row 1
  • Row 6: Repeat Row 2
  • Row 7: Repeat Row 3
  • Row 8: Repeat Row 4
  • Row 9: Repeat Row 1
  • Row 10: Repeat Row 2
  • Row 11: Repeat Row 3
