Day 16: How to Knit the Embossed Diamonds Stitch {31 Days of Knitting Series}

Today is Day 16 of our 31 Days of Knitting Challenge. This stitch is called the Embossed Diamonds Stitch. It’s a really simple and quick stitch to knit.

HOW TO KNIT THE EMBOSSED DIAMONDS STITCH {FOR THE LOOM}

MATERIALS USED IN THE VIDEO:

Knitting Loom: Regular Gauge Kiss Loom {with 1 r in between the pins & the pegs} – We are working with just one side of the regular gauge modular loom.

Knitting Tools: We are using the knitting tool that comes with the kiss looms, but the tool that comes with your loom usually works best!

Ball of Yarn: We are using Tosh Chunky 100% Merino Wool by Madeline Tosh in the color “Medieval”

WRITTEN INSTRUCTIONS AND CHART:

  • Cast on in Multiples of 10 + 3
  • Row 1: P1, K1, P1, *[K3, P1] twice, K1, P1; Repeat from * to end of row
  • Row 2: K1, P1, *k3, P1, K1, P1, K3, P1; Repeat from * to last stitch, K1
  • Row 3: K4, *[P1, K1] twice, P1, K5; Repeat from * to last 9 stitches, [P1, K1] twice, P1, K4
  • Row 4: K3, *[P1, K1] 3 times, P1, K3; Repeat from * to end of row
  • Row 5: Repeat Row 3
  • Row 6: Repeat Row 2
  • Row 7: Repeat Row 1
  • Row 8: K1, P1, K1, *P1, K5 [P1, K1] twice; Repeat from * to end of row
  • Row 9: [P1, K1] twice, *P1, K3, [P1, K1] 3 times; Repeat from * to last 9 stitches, P1, K3 [P1, K1] twice, P1
  • Row 10: Repeat Row 8
  • Repeat Rows 1-10 until you’ve reached your desired length.
