How to Create A Metallic Pattern with Metallic Powder {Tutorial}

I’ve been having a lot of fun lately experimenting with the new Vintage Storehouse Metallic Powder line. There are so many different ways to use the product, I can’t get enough of it. This week I wanted to s with you the last project I did using the color “Skyscraper“. This is the silver in the line and it’s super bright and really stands out on almost any color! In addition to using the powders in a new way with wax, I also wanted to try to use the powders with a stencil. So I got this cute herringbone stencil from Royal Design Studios and decided to put it on the sides of this bad boy…

I started by painting the entire piece with our new line of Chalk Based Paints (coming June 2015) in the color Nightingale. This is a gorgeous dark blue color. Then I started applying the Metallic Powder using my Herringbone Stencil.

      Hi Adeline,

      They are faux flowers. I wish they were real. I’ve just planted some similar flowers in my garden and I can’t wait until they get big enough that I can use real flowers in my bouquets!
