When I picked up this 1920’s Antique Dresser Set I showed you all last week, I also spotted this cute little side table among all the treasures in the store. I originally was torn on whether or not I would take it. I didn’t really have any ideas for it – but I ended up throwing it in with the other set and deciding that I would figure out what I wanted to do with it later.
Isn’t it darling? I’m so torn on what to do with it. The veneer on this table/cabinet is a mess, just like the other set I picked up. But the legs are awesome and the overall size of it is great.
I’ve narrowed down my options to two colors of paint. I think I’ll strip the veneer off the top and stain it, but paint the rest of the body. The two colors I am debating between are Carnival by Sherwin Williams and Comfort Gray.
They are both beautiful colors, but to be perfectly honest I despise the color orange. I think I’ve mentioned this before, but I just cannot work with the color orange, it just rubs me the wrong way. But I’m trying to work outside my comfort zone and experiment with some different colors, and I feel like fall is a great time to work with orange.
What do you think? Are you a fan of orange painted furniture? I guess we’ll all just have to hold our breaths to see what the final piece turns out like!
